This was supposed to be published on January 1, but that slipped past. To kick off the new year, I want to discuss how we should handle a situation where we find that the “orthodox” belief of religion does not agree with our own sincerely held belief. Peace be with you all and have a blessed new year.

Ask Yourself if Jesus is Really the Messiah
John the Baptist once asked Jesus whether or not he was really the Messiah who’d been promised. This was a question more for reassurance that Jesus was real rather than a doubting of faith. Are we asking ourselves this same question? Sermon from Matthew 11:2-11.
Live Like Tomorrow is the End
A message from 2 Thessalonians. The end will probably not come tomorrow or the next day. But maybe we should live a little more like it will. Peace
Go Where Others are Comfortable, Not Where You are Comfortable
This worship service talks about being present with others and working with others in places that they would find comfortable rather than a place that you would find comfortable. Sermon this week from Luke 19: 1-10.
God Promises You the Fancy House, Just Maybe Not Here
Today’s service talks about how God blesses those who follow his word and what that means in this world and in the next. Peace be with you all.

Thank You
Thank you to all who joined in to watch the first worship service that I put out. Hopefully you enjoyed the worship and maybe you even enjoyed it so much that you’ll tell a couple friends to join in this week. I’ll be posting this week at the same times as last week, 7pm on Saturday, 10am on Sunday, and 6pm on Sunday. Obviously this was the first week that I put together, so I’ll be working each week to improve the video quality, from the music selections, background images, transfers from music to speaking to music, and the location for all the readings and the sermon.
No More Cheap Christianity- Saturday Evening
Today’s worship service looks into 2 Timothy 2:8-15 and Paul’s willingness to be jailed for his faith. How far are we willing to go for our faith? (Sorry for any advertisement that might pop-up. I did not have an option to unselect that)
Video of Services:
Online Church Service
This coming Saturday and Sunday I will publish for the first time a virtual church service. This will be a complete service with music, readings from the Revised Common Lectionary, and a sermon. This service will be shared via WordPress three times, 7pm on Saturday, 10am on Sunday, and 6pm on Sunday. The idea behind this is to reach out into a more pastoral role and send a worship service out to what I hope to become a growing audience. The long-term goal would be to offer services to those who might not want to attend or who are unable to attend church in person but still want to hear the Good News every week. I hope that friends and family will be able to come together and sit with me around this virtual table and that eventually we can become a virtual congregation. I hope you all come by to have a view this weekend. Peace be with you. John
